Bringing a fresh new vibe to the youth scene, M*Star (Moni Alaga) as a youth speaker and artist brings his own stories and experiences that he has been through as a young person so that he may be able to engage with a difference and to create life changing experiences of significance and to really cultivate more of a positive youth culture.
Growing up in a city called Porirua, NZ but now based in the Gold Coast - Moni has so many similar experiences that he has encountered in his life as a teen that he can relate with the youth of today like facing adversity, hardship, being bullied, being unmotivated and having no hope to chase after their dreams. As much as Moni loves connecting with the youth, music and sport is a big part of his life and reflects on these journeys when he is speaking or running his programs.
Moni came from a great up bringing but he still had a lot of issues and adversities that he faced during these times as a young person but found that he did not always have support networks that he could turn too. Facing peer-pressure from others, having cultural and religion differences, being bullied, having low self- esteem, going through relationship break ups and being mocked was evident in Moni's journey so this is the reason why ONE BROTHA NETWORKS was created so that the youth who are facing these hard times may have someone their to empower, inspire and help them along the way.
Through working with different community and youth organisations Moni has built his foundation strongly on the desire to impact a young person’s life and to see the youth inspire, to fulfil their life dreams, overcome adversity and create a positive life for themselves.
As an all-round music artist, rugby player and speaker Moni has had many engagements to speak at youth groups, youth forums, youth camps, high schools, family engagements, community meet ups, government organisations, city council forums, music concerts and sport engagements.
